While the weather on Saturday was pleasant, on Sunday it was the total opposite. It was a torrid, scorching day, giving us and the dogs some reprieve only towards the afternoon when clouds started gathering over the quaint town of Opatija, Croatia. It was again a successful day for our team, and we thank the judges for appreciating our dogs' qualities. Fortune Cookie: exc1, CAC, BOB, BOG3 !! New Hr Ch!  Gipsy: exc1, JCAC, JBOB, New Hr JrCh!! Nightfire's Top Secret: exc2 ResCAC  With this show, Cookie finished her Croatian Championship. In 4 shows, she gained 4 Best of Breed, 1 Group Win and 2 Group placements. I'm very proud of her, considering she hasn't been shown much after the junior class. I'm very proud of our girl and hope for many more successes in the years to come.

Lovely idea to host a night show in the lovely location of Trivigano Udinese. We arrived at 16:00 at it was still too hot, but by the time the judgements started the temperature lowered to much more bearable levels, good for the dogs and for the owners too. The only negative thing was the duration. We had to stay for finals and we arrived home past midnight, then had to wash more dogs for the next day.... and after a couple of hours of sleep we were off to another show. Breeder-judge Mrs C. 12 weeks old.... I can't believe it. It was just yesterday that they were wobbling unstable on their 4 chubby legs.... and now they're all grown up and ready to leave the nest. Well here are the latest photos, taken today. With such a sunny day the puppies had a mutiny in mind in order to play all day long and not have to pose for the camera, so some puppies (cough cough.... Jumanji.... cough cough... Janggi.... cough cough) didn't stay really still on the table, but we came out of this herculean feat unscathed, so I call it a success. We received news from Fire's owners. At his first show ever he won BEST PUPPY IN SHOW !! Congratulations to Fire and his owners. He is the second puppy of the I litter to win this achievement, the first one being our pick Rosie.

Java's owner kindly sent us a few shots of her in her new home in Germany. Needless to say she settled in very well and now is having fun with her Australian Sheperd sister Scampi. :) Thank you so much Sabrina for taking excellent care of her!!

There was a time when this show was organized in the middle of May.... it goes without saying that moving it a couple of weeks later to end at the beginning of June was a wise decision... yes, the heat sometimes is quite stifling, but exhibitors and dogs alike can look forward to a quick dip in the Adriatic Sea when the show is over, since the Croatian shore must be less than a hundred meteres from the show ground. It's also a perfect location for post-show photo shoots. In fact we did take advantage of the beatuful sea and took a few shots ourselves. Anyway it was a lovely relaxed weekend, we brought along only 2 dogs this time, our superstar Bonnie and our youngster Cookie and we left the show quite setisfied with the results.
